Imam Amjad Khan
Imam Amjad Khan serves as the Lead Imam at ISGC. He completed his memorization of the Qur’an at Darul Uloom Zakaria in South Africa in 2012. He went on to earn a Bachelor’s degree in Islamic Sciences from Darul Uloom Trinidad. In addition to his traditional Islamic education, he holds a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education from the University of Michigan. Imam Amjad brings extensive experience in Islamic education and is dedicated to teaching Qur’an, Fiqh, and fostering lifelong learning within the community.
Imam Saad Abbasi
Imam Saad Abbasi serves as an Imam at ISGC with a special focus on our youth, and young professionals. He is an Islamic scholar and a 2022 graduate of Madinatul Uloom USA in Woodbridge, Virginia, where he completed the Alimiyyah program. He completed his memorization of the Qur’an in 2025 and has been serving as a part-time imam in Urbana, Maryland since 2021. Imam Saad is passionate about youth mentorship and community engagement, focusing on nurturing the spiritual growth of young Muslims.
Ustadha Saima Yacoob
Ustadha Saima Yacoob serves as the Director of Women’s Education at ISGC, bringing over two decades of experience in teaching and community service. She holds ijāzāt in the textual sciences of the Qur’an from scholars around the world and has dedicated her life to learning, teaching, and nurturing a deep connection with the Book of Allah.
In addition to her traditional Islamic studies, Ustadha Saima holds a bachelor’s degree in English and a master’s in education with a focus on curriculum and instruction from George Mason University. She has been a valued member of the ISGC community for over ten years, offering classes, mentorship, and spiritual counseling to women.
Through her work, she strives to create meaningful spaces for women and young girls to grow in knowledge, strengthen their faith, and build a lasting relationship with the Qur’an.
